Delta Dental of Missouri is seeking a Customer Service Representative in St. Louis, Missouri. The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will provide assistance to dental offices, subscribers and group contacts via written and verbal communication. This role investigates and resolves problems and communicates benefit information as requested'taking whatever steps necessary to resolve inquiry.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responds to customer inquiries (written, verbal and electronic) regarding benefits, participating doctors and eligibility.
  • Analyze claim problems and take appropriate action to ensure that the proper claim payment is made. Provide necessary follow-up and initiate correspondence.
  • Keep informed of benefit changes, new group enrollment and group terminations.
  • Actively seek refunds (collection) where necessary.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

 

  • High school diploma required. Ability to operate PC and calculator to compute claim benefits. Ability to data-enter information via PC keyboard.
  • Two years of call center, dental industry and/or insurance experience required. Must have comprehensive understanding of various screens and transactions utilized in claims processing, eligibility functions, benefit programs and provider information; including a thorough understanding of dental procedures and benefit determination.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal are required. Constant communication with the public and internal departments. Speaking voice must be clear and articulate.
